Hi everyone,
My name’s Andy Taylor (yes, that’s me with the shades) and I’ve put this blog together for anyone interested in recording streaming video, music or pretty much anything from your computer so that you can watch / listen to it on your personal computer or even your TV at your own leisure.
I’m a big fan of multimedia and have been in the business for just under 15 years mainly in video production and editing and now work on multimedia tutorial / eLearning projects.
Here’s the deal: I use my laptop for everything. And I mean everything (well, maybe not for making the coffee). I have all my personal photos, home videos and favorite TV programs & shows on my laptop. Yes, I’ve gone 100% digital. It’s now reached the point where I have dumped my home multimedia DVD-Harddrive and only use it to watch DVD’s (or my Blu-ray player for Blu-ray Discs).
So if you’re interested in turning your computer into a simple video or music recorder, you should find the answers in the various posts in this blog and I’ll avoid boring you on the technical details where possible.
